Religion Education and Community Engagement at Corpus Christi School
Students at Corpus Christi School participate in daily Religion classes from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Additionally, the student body gathers for weekly masses every Friday at 11:00 a.m. Each week, different classes lead the masses, actively engaging the children in various parts of the service. Our children’s choir, made up of students in grades 3-8, provides all the music for these masses.
Rosary Prayer and Faith Integration
Each learning community—Kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3rd through 5th grade, and 6th through 8th grade—comes together daily in October and May to pray the rosary collectively. The faith-based education at CCS is also woven into art projects, music, and other special initiatives.
Monthly Service Projects
The entire student body, from Pre-School through 8th grade, along with the faculty, collaborates monthly on a school-wide service project aimed at making a positive impact on our church, community, and city. Some of the service projects have included:
- Animal Shelters
- Catholic Charities
- Corpus Christi Food Pantry
- Sisters of Saint Joseph
- Homeless Shelters
- Veterans Association
- Housebound Parishioners
- Down Syndrome support
- Sick members of our Parish
- Shriners Hospital
- Community Clean-Up Days
