Corpus Christi School (CCS) is increasing scholarship opportunities for students in 2018. The small private school is also completing capital improvements and technology updates to ensure a 21st Century learning environment that compliments its long tradition of academic success.

“Education is the most important decision that a parent can make to ensure a successful future for your child. We provide students with rigorous academic standards and we offer a safe environment, many extracurricular opportunities including Crusader athletics, along with a uniform dress code and individual attention,” said Principal Dick Taylor, who has been employed at Corpus Christi for more than 40 years.

The school recently added robust technology to fully support an updated learning environment.

“The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students have been using Chromebooks daily in class and at home to complete school work. By having Chromebooks for the upper grade levels it has enhanced the traditional teaching methods and provided digital tools and resources for our students who will be better prepared for high school and beyond,” Taylor said.

“We continue to look into integrating more technology like the Chromebooks into other grade levels as well in the upcoming school years. This new program compliments our current curriculum and engages students in a computer based approach to learning. It is a way to empower students to maximize their full potential as they prepare for their future and a technology savvy world,” he added.

“Our students excel at the high school level and we want to offer them more experiences to advance them quickly among their peers. We are proud of the many outstanding academic, career and life achievements of our graduates from Corpus Christi School and hope to continue to impact more students each year,” said Taylor.

On top of the technology improvements the school is focused closely on scholarship opportunities.

“We have increased scholarships significantly this fiscal year. These efforts provide a gift of education to current and future students and will further support enrollment for years to come,” said Advancement Director Miranda Zambito. “We are also focused on raising unrestricted, and capital improvement funds to strengthen and sustain enrollment and curriculum.”

“It is our plan to continue to make these kind of changes and grow our scholarships to sustain the 101-year tradition begun many years ago by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Students are very happy here at Corpus Christi and we encourage interested families to join us at our open house or by calling and setting up a tour,” said Taylor. “We would be pleased to show you what we have to offer your family at Corpus Christi School. We recognize the value of a Catholic education and encourage everyone to explore what we have to offer.”
